Mr. Heinrich W. Wyes, B.Sc., M.Sc. (Nat. Sci. – Hydrogeology).

German by nationality and a natural scientist by training. Areas of professional experiences include environmental management, renewable energy and energy transformation, digitalization and the circular economy, the interface between climate governance, biodiversity and agriculture, and resource mobilization.

More than thirty years of experiences in international organizations, academia, civil society, the private sector as well as with governmental organizations, holding senior positions with international, regional and bilateral organizations such as the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the World Health Organization (WHO), the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) and the German Ministry of Environment (BMU).

Lecturing at the German Kazakh University on project management, resource mobilization and environmental impact assessment and Senior Fellow of the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies in Potsdam, Germany, addressing the interface between Circular Economy and Industry 4.0 in cooperation with the Economic Research Institute of Asia (ERIA), the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) and the Asian Productivity Organization (APO).

Currently on various assignments for the EBRD, ADB and ERIA in Central Asia.
