Ms. Giulia Sechi is Gender Adviser in the Office of the Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (с) and has an extensive experience in gender mainstreaming in post-conflict scenarios. Before joining the Secretariat in Vienna, Giulia worked in different positions in the OSCE Field Operations in Montenegro and Skopje (Northern Macedonia) and as Special Assistant to the Head of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo. She started her career in 2011 as Project Management Consultant for the UN Environment Programme-Office in Vienna, dealing with climate change adaptation in mountain areas.
Giulia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Cagliari, Italy. She is currently a PhD fellow in Public Policy and Governance at the United Nations University-MERIT/Maastricht University Graduate School of Governance focusing on inter-organizational relations and the implementation of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda in Kosovo
